Insurance
Your prenatal  care and delivery will be precertified by the insurance department. The office will advise you of any restrictions that your policy may have regarding your pregnancy. This would include prenatal testing (i.e. ultrasounds) and the hospital where you will deliver. However, it is still the patient's responsibility to know the specifics of her plan.
 
The patient must make the office aware if additional authorization or precertification is needed throughout her pregnancy. The office will also verify your maternity benefits and make payment arrangements with you if needed.
 
If  your insurance coverage changes during your pregnancy, a copy of the new card will be needed to contact the new insurance company.
